Overview
The ZT-100B is part of Zonge’s new rack mount transmitter system rated for outputs of 100A and 1200V. It represents a major change from the GGT series because it does not require a 400 Hz generator and instead will use a readily available 50 or 60 hz generator. The ZT-100B switching unit is connected to a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) which Zonge can provide and mount in a rugged case along with the ZT-100B switching unit. Customers can choose their power supply but Zonge will offer at least a few options that we will bundle and mount with the ZT-100B.
- A low power SMPS that takes single phase 110V-120V as input for maximum portability in the US, Canada, Mexico, or wherever one can obtain a low voltage generator.
- A medium power SMPS that takes single phase 240V as input. This power supply will be called the ZPS12-1200. This will replace the GGT-10 and even exceed some of its output specifications (link to datasheet below).
- A high power SMPS that takes 3-phase power as input from a larger industrial style generator.
Why It Stands Out
- Local front-panel operation plus Wi-Fi browser control
- Support for standard and custom transmit sequences
- Built-in diagnostics, status reporting, and firmware management
- Very versatile system, especially if users keep multiple power supplies in their quiver.
- Stays cool even at high current output
Where It Fits
- Time-domain surveys
- Frequency-domain surveys
- Transmitter Loops
- Grounded dipoles

FAQ
Does the ZT-100B hookup directly to a generator?
No, a SMPS is required, we would love to talk to you about your survey needs and anticipated use cases to figure out the right power supply for you.
Is the ZT-100B compatible with my old Zonge generator?
No, it is not because the old Zonge generator’s are 400 hz and it is unlikely that there is a suitable SMPS on the market compatible with 3-phase 400 hz as input. The good thing is that 50 and 60 hz generators are readily available and it is usually even possible to rent one locally.
Will the transmitter be GPS synchronized with a GDP, ZEN or other geophysical receiver that use GPS sync?
For the ZEN and GDP the answer is yes. For most other receivers the answer is likely also yes especially for 1 Hz and higher.
Buyer Benefits
The ZT-100B is attractive for customers who want more than a basic transmitter. It gives field crews a modern interface, synchronized timing, remote access, and custom waveform flexibility while staying inside the Zonge ecosystem. That means faster setup, cleaner integration, and a transmitter platform that feels current rather than improvised.
